Advanced Training for Company-Community Mediation in Complex Environments – Cape Town – July 2015

I am pleased to announce that I have been selected to participate, together with 17 experienced mediators from around the world, in an “Advanced Training for Company-Community Mediation in Complex Environments”.

This unique training will take place in Cape Town this coming July and it is organized by ACCESS Facility, under the sponsorship of the Government of Norway.

ACCESS Facility is a global non profit organization that supports rights-compatible, interest-based problem solving to prevent and resolve conflicts between companies and communities.

ACCESS F. explores better ways of working among companies, communities and governments. It is a neutral space in which a broad range of stakeholders can learn, explore, share ideas, forge relationships and find solutions that work for them.

I also want to take the opportunity to share with you a very valuable video that will help you better understand why Community – Company mediation is becoming crucial when it comes to manage conflicts and dialogues affecting certain industrial and economic activities in developing countries.

This video was produced by the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in collaboration with the Special Representative for the United Nations Secretary General for Business and Human Rights.

I hope you will find it interesting,

Kindest regards,

Paco Giménez-Salinas
